Skin Tyee First Nation

Community, that was the theme and the feeling throughout the program at Skin Tyee.  We ate wonderful home prepared food together, gathered, laughed, shared and created many beautiful quilts.  One of the participants has been creating amazing art quilts for years, I was thrilled to see pictures of them.  The reconnection with friends from early school days made this experience at Skin Tyee feel like a bit of a coming home.  I felt like a part of the community while I was there.
